Footstools and Gnomes

I love the furniture sold at the Loblaws Superstore near my house. It's relatively cheap, dark wood and very swanky. I've bought a storage bench and a bedside table so far, and I always feel so accomplished after putting them together.

I went grocery shopping tonight after work and saw that a footstool that I've had my eye on for awhile was on clearance. It's square, black, faux leather and the top lifts off for storage inside. I got it for $40 instead of $80, and this weekend there was no tax on everything in the store. Score!

I'll be driving across the border tomorrow which is very exciting. My license expires in a couple weeks and so I need all of the highway driving experience that I can get before my test. So my aunt and are going to go and do some shopping and have lunch (probably at the Olive Garden because we don't have it in London).

I especially want to look at fabric stores because I've been thinking of making my second quilt. I discovered an awesome gnome fabric on etsy a couple weeks ago. They have it in blue and yellow but I can't find the yellow for sale anywhere. It's from the Heather Ross Lightning Bugs line and I really enjoy her other work too. Hopefully I can find some cool fabrics and get inspired for my next project.
