My stepmother's birthday was yesterday, and my Dad gave me one day's notice about the celebration. I didn't have any money to buy her a gift, so last night I scraped together this floral brooch. It's made from burgundy felt, with a lovely gold button in the middle and black embroidery on the petals. I like it so much I'm considering keeping it for myself! Although to be honest, they aren't really colours that I wear very often. I don't even know if she will wear it since she isn't big on jewelry, but at least it's a gift. I think it would look just smashing pinned to a winter jacket, but that's just me.
