Port Huron A Hoy!

I went to Port Huron, Michigan yesterday with two of my aunts for a little shopping and lunch. I am terribly low on funds right now, but I found some great crafty bargains. We went to Joann Fabrics where I found some glass beads about the size of a toonie. I've been looking for them everywhere and could not find them in Canada. I'm going to make my own magnets with them, by gluing pictures on the back, and then of course a magnet. Mary Maxim had some wonderful craft projects, but they will have to wait until next year. In particular, they had a ribbon pine cone decoration and a glass cube to fill with lights and design the exterior.

After lunch we headed to Target which I always enjoy. Their Christmas decor section was gigantic and I loved almost everything in it. I found some little felt gift toppers that were so cute, I'm just going to attach nice ribbon to them and make them tree ornaments. I'm going back to Target in about two weeks and I intend to stock up on wrapping paper, cards and ornaments that will be on clearance. It was hard not to go crazy and spend what little money I had, but knowing I will be back soon with some Christmas money made it easier.
